Volunteers Needed this weekend for Fill-A-Truck
Service Hours available for Edge and LifeTeen volunteers
The St. Mark's Bishop Flanagan Council Women's Auxiliary has
requested Edge/LifeTeen help in loading the truck for the Fill A Truck on July 13 and 14. Location is St. Mark's parking lot.
The following slots are avaiIable for maximum 4 youth per slot, volunteering along with women from our Women's Auxiliary Ministry:
Saturday, July 13: 12-2 pm, 2-4 pm, (or 12-4 pm)
Sunday, July 14: 7:30-8 am and 10-10:30 am
The help that is needed is loading items onto the truck as parishioners drop them off. Requested items are Clothing, Linens, Dishes, Pocketbooks, Shoes/Boots, Belts, and Curtains/Drapes, which should be in bags and boxes. No furniture or other heavy items; items requested are lighter loads.
Note that there will be times where there is standing around waiting for vehicles to come drop off and times where multiple vehicles arrive to drop of at the same time.
The donations will help stock the Urban Missionaries "Little Store" at 242 Canterbury Street in Worcester. Urban Missionaries is a Catholic Social Action ministry in the Diocese of Worcester and has been helping those in need since 1979.
Please sign up by responding to this Flocknote or by emailing me at
Edge or LifeTeen
and which slot(s) you are signing up for.
